How should I take care of my jewellery?

UNAMĒ jewelry is made of recycled silver or gold alloys. The fact that the material is recycled has no effect on quality or look.
UNAMĒ works sustainable, therefore no platings.

The oxidation of the silver is similar to the natural aging process (oxidation through the sulfur in our air). Through contact with clothing, hard surfaces, sweat, perfume and other environmental influences, the surface can change over time.
In general, all matt surfaces get more shine via friction and all polished surfaces become more matt over time.

Stones are strong but fragile at the same time. A stone may break if it hits a hard surface or is exposed to strong sunlight/heat.

Store your jewelry in a safe place, free from vapours and dust, to reduce the risk of unwanted oxidation. The contact with water is not harming the metal, but could be detrimental for the stones. Anyhow it is advisable to remove your jewelry when showering, washing and sleeping. If possible, avoid contact with soap, perfume, make-up and hair spray, which can damage the jewelry.

UNAMĒ offers the possibility of working a custom made piece for you, as long as it fits their style and follows their ethical guidelines. You have gold/silver? Purify your old jewelry and give them a new shape with a custom made piece.
